Jonny Walker delivers a near perfect performance to claim victory at the UK’s Enduro Extreme Indoor Enduro. With two wins and a second place result Walker beat David Knight and Taddy Blazusiak to claim the top step of the podium.

Walker showed incredible speed and consistency throughout the evening on a course that was easily up to world championship standards. Despite posting the third fastest time during the Hot Laps session, the KTM rider soon turned things around in the final three races.

“Obviously I’m super happy for the overall win. It was a good night and I can’t complain at all,” told Walker. “I got three good starts and that kind of made it easier for me.

“In the first two races I got the lead pretty soon and pulled away. In the last race it was a good fight with Taddy. I came from third and we were fighting until the end, so I’m happy.”

A great jump out of the starting gate in the opening race saw Walker go head-to-head with Blazusiak in the first few corners. Entering the rock section on lap one, Blazusiak made a small mistake allowing Walker to get into the lead. Posting steady lap times until the end, Walker secured the first win of the evening. With Blazusiak second, David Knight beat Paul Bolton across the line for third.

For race two, Blazusiak and Walker were again fastest out of the starting blocks. But in the second corner the duo came together and Blazusiak hit the ground. Staying upright, Walker remained out front to claim win #2 of the evening. Knight took advantage of the situation to end up second with Bolton getting his night’s best finish with third.

Getting the holeshot in race three and leading the pack for almost a whole lap, Knight proved he still has the speed to be among the top guys. Determined to make amends for race two, Blazusiak came from third to pass both Walker and Knight for the lead in the same corner. Also passing Knight, Walker gave chase. But this time Blazusiak’s luck was in and despite stalling his bike on the final lap he got his first victory of the evening.

Securing the overall win, Walker took the top step of the podium. David Knight finished second while Taddy Blazusiak had to settle for third. Paul Bolton continued to impress and got fourth place overall ahead of Jonathan Richardson in fifth.

After an evening of intense racing the British crowd got a perfect taste of what’s expected when the 2016 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship starts on December 5 in Poland.
