EnduroGP and Akrapovic extend successful partnership
Prime Stadium Eventos, promoters of the Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship, have extended their current partnership with Akrapovic which will see the Slovenian company continue its support for the championship in 2024 and beyond.
Akrapovič is a manufacturer of exhaust systems for motorcycles and premium cars. The brand is renowned worldwide for being an innovative firm that designs and manufactures exhaust systems with cutting-edge technology and premium components. Akrapovič has been a valued supporter of the EnduroGP series for over 15 years, and for 2024 the partnership will see the exhaust manufacturer remain as the headline partner for the Akrapovič Super Test at every round.
In addition to this, Akrapovič has introduced two new trophies this year with their designs based on the shape of an exhaust. One will be presented at each round to the leader of the Akrapovič Super Test classification, and the second is for the overall winner at the end of the year who will also walk away with a prize of €1500.
Akrapovič has been developing and producing off-road exhaust systems for many years and has supported various enduro racing teams and riders in that time. Juha Salminen, while racing for KTM, won a World Championship title on an Akrapovič-equipped off-road motorcycle for the first time in 2002, while Josep Garcia was victorious in the Enduro1 class last year, as well as supporting many other champions over the years.
The 2024 FIM EnduroGP World Championship starts in less than a month’s time in Fafe, Portugal, before heading to Valpacos, also in Portugal, just one week later. The series will make a return to Romania and the UK, two countries that have not hosted EnduroGP action in a long time, as well as Italy, Slovakia, and France.
Carla Alvarenga – Prime Stadium Eventos Managing Director: “With less than one month to go until the start of the season, we are really excited to have Akrapovič on board for another year! The brand has been one of the championship’s longest-standing partners, so we are very grateful to the team at Akrapovič for their continued support. They will continue as headline partner of the Friday night Akrapovič Super Test, as well as producing two new trophies - one for the super test winner at each round, and one for the overall winner at the end of the season. We are looking forward to another exciting season together!”
