The end of the first day of racing at the GP of France sees Beta’s Steve Holcombe secure the 2016 Enduro 3 World Championship title.

Wrapping up his debut season in the senior ranks in the best possible way, Steve Holcombe claimed the first Enduro World Championship title of his career in Cahors.

Doing exactly what he had to do, the 22-year-old Brit got the lead early on lap one and never looked back. Putting in a mistake-free performance he claimed his 11th win for the season in front of TM’s Manuel Monni and his fellow Beta rider Johnny Aubert.

“To become world champion is incredible, absolutely incredible,” told Holcombe. “I’m literally lost for words. It’s been an amazing season that’s gone better than I even hoped it would. My life had changed a lot during the past twelve months and this title is the best reward for the hard work and the sacrifices.”

One day before the end of the 2016 EWC season, Holcombe holds a 22-point advantage over second placed Johnny Aubert.
