Enduro Junior World Champion Giacomo Redondi will stay with the Honda RedMoto team when he competes in the EnduroGP class in 2017.
Redondi - who dominated this year’s Junior class on his way to the title - will be joined by David Guarneri and David Soreca as part of the three-rider Italian team that goes unchanged for next year.
Redondi really found his stride when he stepped onto 450 machinery for 2016 and could quickly become one of the main riders to watch for in EnduroGP.
Having claimed a couple of outright special test top three results - plus a day win at the ISDE on a 500 four-stroke - he’s bang on form and clearly at home with Honda.
"The World Title is an amazing result, but now I'm focused on the new 2017 season,” said Redondi. “I'll debut in the new EnduroGP class and I'll race in the E2 class of the Italian Championship too.
“Already I'm working hard and the new bike is performing: the first impression was very good and I'm sure I'll go on with the positive results of 2016. I'm sure I'll get incredible results with the new Honda -RedMoto CRF 450RX Enduro.”
Guarneri will team with Redondi in EnduroGP…
“2016 season was a year of transition and experience for me. Now it's time to make a change. In 2017 I'll grow up and I'll achieve important results. I will give my best.”
Sixth in the 2016 Junior season, Soreca - 2014 Youth Junior - will be the team’s Junior rider in 2017.
“In 2016 I had good races and improved every weekend thanks to the excellent work done with the team,” said Soreca. “For 2017 I expect to be able to put in place a further qualitative step and constantly fight for the victory of the EJ class.”
