It’s finally happening, USA has officially caught the extreme enduro bug with the announcement of a four-round state championship scheduled for 2018.

For 2018 the AMA have grouped together the RevLimiter Extreme Enduro, Mad Moose Hard Enduro, Last Dog Standing and Tough Like RORR to form their state championship.

“We are excited to finally share this big, new addition to the AMA racing calendar,” said AMA Off-Road Racing Manager Erek Kudla.

“This has been in the works for a few years now and came together as a result of the hard work of many clubs who will be hosting these extreme events.

“My hope is that the top amateurs lined up at these races will eventually become some of the best professional extreme off-road racers in the world!”

The series kicks off with the RevLimiter on January 13/14, and at each of the races, the top three overall finishers will qualify — with entry fees waived — to race at the AMA Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro on August 19.

Those that finish top 10 in the AMA Extreme Off-Road State Championship — and haven’t finished met top three criteria — will be offered a start on one of the top 10 rows at Saturday’s TKO.

The TKO will be billed as the AMA Grand Championship.
