Beta reveal their 2026 RR X-Pro enduro model line-up with updates to the two-stroke engines, Nissin front brake calipers, new 4T engine mapping and on-trend red colours.

A complete make-over for the Beta enduro line-up in 2025 gave us a fresh set of options from the new X-Pro range. The Racing models remained but the new X-Pros impressed Enduro21 with better standard equipment, a list of updates over its predecessor, a distinct look, and, overall, a two-stroke and four-stroke range which more accurately delivered on Beta’s “rideability” promise.

With so much ‘new’ last year, you’d expect the Italian manufacturer to go a bit quieter a year later but they’ve been busy working on the X-Pro range, no with added RR (no, we’re not sure why they added the RR either).

In a nutshell the 2026 updates to the X-Pro range include engine development on the 125/200/250/300 two-strokes, new maps on the four-strokes, a larger 22mm real axle and Nissin front brake caliper on all models (both adopted from the 450 RX model they say), plus a new larger battery and mapping settings on the 4T machines.

Eight model line-up

As always, the Beta range is made up of eight different models to suit the spectrum of riders out there including the popular 200 two-stroke, the diverse 4T line-up and the widely used 300 2T so useful in enduro.

Important note to North America readers: All sizes of the 2026 four-stroke X-Pro models will be approved for a California green sticker.

detail-1

Beta’s main updates and features for the 2026 X-Pro range (all models):

Frame: the adoption of a frame with increased main spar section (+ 1cm) – first introduced on X-PRO My 25 models, returns for My 26, to keep the motorcycle’s overall weight distribution balanced and stable for both single-track and Hard Enduro

Suspension: the new ZF suspension introduced on RR X-PRO in 2025 was one of the standout features Enduro21 rated when we tested the X-Pro models last year.

SHC (Single Hydraulic Chamber) fork: Introduced to improve hydraulic operation and reduce the overall weight (by about 250g).

The split right and left fork legs allow for greater control over all settings, with the right leg managing the compression and the left leg damping.

Both forks and their functions have been updated for 2026 with a completely redesigned spring guide to improve the oil flow (required to lubricate the mechanical components), and prevent pressure increases at high speed that affected the component sliding performance. This means a more linear response and predictable behaviour, Beta say, regardless of the terrain.

The single-chamber design allows for the fork to respond in a “free” way which means a smoother ride overall they add.

The seat height remains a very useable 93cm/36.6inch, providing the rider with a planted feeling and especially useful in extreme conditions.

Swingarm: the rear wheel axle diameter has been increased by 2mm, for a total of 22mm. This new component guarantees greater stiffness and torsional resistance, resulting in better performance when the rear wheel is flexing or in heavy turns.

Handlebar mounts: Xtrig Flexfix mount system provides an anti-vibration block in between the handlebar and the lower mount, which means less vibration. This system can also be fitted with optional inserts that are softer for a custom feeling for each rider.

Front recovery strap: to highlight the Extreme character of RR X-PRO, a new Beta- front grab strap - very useful for getting out of the most challenging situations - has been introduced as standard.

Handlebar map switch: the map switch button introduced as standard on last year’s new model, remains inside the handlebar pad.

Nissin brake caliper: shared from the 2025 450 RX motocross model, the X-PRO enduro bikes now also feature a new Nissin front brake caliper which they say is smaller, lighter, and has a better feeling and modulation.

Radiators: The new model will feature new, sturdier radiators to prevent deformations and consequent reductions in the coolant flow.

Coolant Recovery Tank: 200cc coolant expansion tank prevents overheating by recovering lost coolant.

Battery: all four-stroke models have a new, lighter, better-performing battery.

New graphics speak for themselves – we like them and can’t get enough of the trend for red bikes lately. There’s also a new LED taillight with an improved design.

Engine and transmission updates in detail – 250 RR X-Pro two-stroke “like no other 250”

The 250cc engine was subjected to a series of internal updates to make its behavior more similar to its big brother 300. They use a common crankshaft, with reduced stroke plus a bore size increase compared to the previous model.

The new engine also has an updated head with a different combustion chamber and a new cylinder with modified transfer port geometry. These update and improve the torque and linear power delivery “significantly”, Beta say, without affecting the overall performance but “creating a power delivery that is like no other 250” with a more centralised weight and lowered centre of gravity. Plus, the crankcase houses larger and sturdier bearings.

Transmission: the second gear is updated to extend its range of use too. This has increased the smoothness when shifting to the third gear and makes riding easier.

Bearings and gear updates also apply to the X-PRO 300 2T.

Engine: the evolutions never stop for Beta ‘babies, with the 2026 RR X-PRO featuring a new piston and a new cylinder head also, with updated combustion chamber architecture to increase the torque and power.

Beta say that makes the engine more reactive, powerful, and “throaty”, increasing the explosiveness of the performance.

The 125 also gets a new gear reinforced gears. The details aren’t clear here, Beta say “sturdy and with excellent calibration” but we assume it means more usable at different speeds/revs/gear selected (this change applies also to the 200 two-stroke).

Four-stroke RR X-Pro range updates

The four-stroke engines receive new maps to improve their delivery along the entire range, Beta conclude, to make the power more linear and usable to manage power at any speed.
