Quick look: 2025 Fantic 50cc and 125cc learner bikes
Fantic announce updates to their 50cc and 125cc XE Enduro and XM Motard 2025 models for street and off-road learner or restricted license-holders.
Since 2020, Fantic say they have sold more than 15,000 50cc and 125cc motorcycles, making it something of a “benchmark” for the new generation of two-wheel riders in Europe.
It’s a big market and while the world is swamped by cheaper products from Asia, it is reassuring to know the kids are still aiming for good looking, competition-derived bikes when it comes to their first machines.
Fantic say the new, 2025 XE (Enduro) and XM (Motard) range represents a significant evolution from the previous model, introducing major technical and stylistic updates.
Available in two model, for both enduro and supermoto, the Performance and Competition configurations give you options for different specifications and depending it you want to take them off road or stick to looking good on the street.
These are distinct from the Racing Enduro models by the way, designed purely for competition purposes. Read more about those here: First look: 2025 Fantic Enduro and Motocross models
Euro 5+ evolution
The introduction of Euro 5+ homologation regulations (mandatory for street legal motorcycles from 2026) brings with it technical changes that, Fantic say contrary to what you might think, “actually improved performance”.
The 125cc models have a new airbox and an exhaust system inspired by MXGP race bikes, designed for the Minarelli 125 engine, which comes equipped with a slipper clutch and variable valve timing for a “responsive and punchy ride”.
The 50cc models, alongside the new airbox, also have an innovative dual-cable exhaust valve for “smooth power delivery across the entire rev range and improved torque in all conditions”.
Chassis updates
Fantic say the entire Fantic 2025 range adopts a new progressive linkage system with a completely redesigned geometry, to improve the rear monoshock performance and offering adjustable ground clearance up to 30 mm, ensuring more adaptability and control in any riding condition.
The slightly higher spec Competition models also debut a new aluminium swingarm, inspired by racing versions, for more precise response and weight reduction.
ABS brakes
Another aspect of the Euro 5+ regulations is standard anti-lock brakes and the new 125cc models are now equipped with a dual-channel ABS system active on both front and back wheels.
The system can be deactivated as needed however, allowing you to hit the dirt with more control if you want it.
New Colours: The Pink Edition
The 2025 design of the 50 and 125 models has “a fully reworked aesthetic” Fantic say, and at last one standout colour option of Pink Edition alongside the classic Fantic colour and black versions.
The front end of the bikes is inspired by Fantic’s Racing models and features a redesigned headlight mask and front fender.
On the 125cc models, the new full-LED headlight is 50% lighter than the previous version and offers twice the field of vision, improving visibility and safety in all conditions.
Designed for the XM Performance 50cc and 125cc models, so not on the Enduro models, the Pink Edition meanwhile features white plastics combined with fuchsia graphics – if you want to stand out.
The Black and White colourways are already available at Fantic’s official dealer network, while the PINK Edition, already available for order, will arrive in stores starting in June.
