First look: Beta USA Announce 2026 Beta 390 & 500 RS Special Editions
Beta USA announce the return of limited production 500 and 390 RS, big thumper, dual sport models.
With big thumper and specifically 500cc four-stroke machines increasingly rare, Beta USA has announced the return of their RS Special Edition models.
The higher specification dual sport machines quickly sold out the last time they were offered in 2024, Beta USA tell us, and with a limited production this time around they could be just as popular for the trail riders out there who like a bit of grunt.
The 390 and 500cc four-strokes are 50-state street legal and wearing the race edition (not X-Pro) colours, these two 2026 models are for the rider looking for a higher level of performance from a dual sport bike.
That higher level performance hinges on KYB Suspension with 48mm closed cartridge front fork and a 46mm rear shock providing better bump absorption and adjustment for all types of terrain.
An updated main frame for this model year is also included that provides less flex without any added weight. Finished off with many other features listed below, the RS Special Edition models are well worth a look.

Here's what Beta USA say are the key features:
· 48 mm Kayaba (KYB) AOS close cartridge fork: anodized internal parts and the treatments administered to the materials minimize sliding friction, while adjustable compression and rebound damping let each rider find the perfect customization of the setting.
· Kayaba (KYB) 46mm Shock: the KYB single shock can be considered a benchmark in the racing context for its capacity to absorb the roughness of the terrain, the level of traction transferred to the rear wheel, and the consistency of performance, even in particularly heavy use. The hydraulic setting can be fully customized by adjusting the external compression (both high and low speed) and rebound settings.
· Quick release front axle: immediately recognizable by the red anodized alloy release lever, this component is crucial for saving precious seconds in a race when you need to change a tire.
· Reinforced handguards: the handguards feature two-component materials and not only give the bike a racing look but also make them especially hard-wearing in even the roughest off-road use.
· Machined alloy footpegs: to always ensure maximum control and no loss of contact with the bike, the footpegs have steel pins which are interchangeable; these are narrower than in the past to facilitate movement of feet, but better in terms of grip.
· Rear sprocket with anodized aluminium core and steel teeth by ZF SPROCKETS: top-class performance, lightness and strength - the perfect mix of all the attributes any racing component must have.
· Dedicated race seat: with non-slip upholstery and document holder pocket for unparalleled grip, comfort and practicality.
· Racing graphics: to show off the seriousness of your Dual Sport path
· Anodized black gear lever and rear brake pedal.
· Gearbox oil filler cap, engine oil filler cap and oil filter cap anodized red aluminium.
· Chain tensioners in red machined alloy.
