WP Pro Components Xplor Pro 6500 Cartridge Kit and Xplor Pro 6746 shock suspension upgrades for new KTM Enduro R and Adventure R models.

KTM’s lightweight 390 Adventure and dual-sport 390 Enduro R models have proved a big hit, even before they were available in the dealers to buy and ride.

Like all standard off-road capable motorcycles, their actual capability on the dirt and technical terrain can be held back by the standard suspension settings.

The new Pro Components from WP specifically for those two models answers that calling and, as WP say, lets riders “unlock” better handling, control, and confidence off the road.

If you didn’t know, the Pro Components range is WP Suspension’s premium line, built for riders who demand more from their standard bike and by increasing damping, feedback and control. These Pro Components parts are tried and tested by Enduro21 across many years now on different off-road bikes.

Xplor Pro 6500 Cartridge Kit

Our testing has included the Xplor Pro 6500 Cartridge Kit in enduro forks and it takes no great leap of faith to suggest the same fork upgrade for the 390 Adventure R and Enduro R will be well-worth your hard earned.

The 6500 kit bring a wider range of genuine adjustment for compression, rebound and pre-load as well as options for spring rate. The open cartridge type fork kits are tailored for these 390 models (not for enduro) and include an enlarged hydrogen chamber which WP say improves temperature control, is low weight (1500 grams) and reduces friction.

The kits we’ve tested essentially replace the internals of the standard outer fork legs and comes recommended by us.

The kit uses the stock fork springs so if you want different rates, adjusted for individual rider weights, they are available separately (which spring rate is standard is not clear from WP but expect it to be average rider weight so around 80kgs is out guess).

Xplor Pro 6746 shock

The Xplor Pro 6746 shock matches the fork kit upgrade, improving damping control, chassis stability, handling and traction, WP say.

The shock weighs three kilograms and boasts a wide range of simple adjustment thanks to the high-and-low speed compression, rebound adjusters and spring pre-load.

Alexander Banzirsch, Chief Engineer Pro Components Offroad: “We know riders of the new KTM 390 Enduro R or the KTM 390 Adventure R will eventually wonder how far they can push the limits, and these special 2025 WP Pro Components will provide some answers.

“The key points for the Xplor Pro 6500 Cartridge forks and the Xplor Pro 6746 shock is how we’ve been able to bring a level of construction only seen on competition models to beef-up feedback. Being able to easily and accurately tweak the technology for the road, the trail or for any riding condition is another strong asset. Once again, fitting WP Pro Components is a clear and effective way to exaggerate some of the best characteristic of a KTM motorcycle.”
