2025 Hard Enduro World Championship Standings (after Rnd3) and Abestone round-up
Updated 2025 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship standings after the successful round three, Abestone Hard Enduro in Italy, won by Billy Bolt ahead of Mani Lettenbichler and Mitch Brightmore.
Abestone Hard Enduro brought life back into the 2025 Hard Enduro World Championship after a summer break with a trip to Tuscany.
The fourth edition of Abestone in the Apennine Mountains was the third of seven rounds this year with Hixpania, Sea to Sky, Getzenrodeo and The Roof of Africa to come.
Abestone 2025 was the best yet and staked a claim for a permanent place in the series with the course laid down by Michele Bosi and his team showing the effort in preparation for this year’s event.
Billy’s back
Best of all the series was re-ignited with the return of Billy Bolt to his best and finally a challenger to the all-conquering Mani Lettenbichler. There was nothing between them on race day and Lettenbichler was magnanimous in the narrow defeat, welcoming Billy back to the party while Bolt said he was, “happy to be back making Mani’s life difficult.”
A new race format worked well for spectators: within just a few hundred meters, they were presented with an amphitheatre of action which ramped up on the final lap when the lead two riders, Billy Bolt and Mani Lettenbichler, went wheel to wheel for the win.
The course also included sections such as Ram Line 2, new sections Cascata and Inferno, and the legendary Minestrone epic rock garden.
Amateur classes rock
The Silver and Bronze categories delivered great racing too across the weekend and we think got their money’s worth. Connor Atkinson took the win in Silver, completing seven laps in 1:30:03 ahead of Sandra Gomez impressively second with seven laps in 1:38:13 (and best female rider). Fernando Soler Garcia secured third ahead of Tommaso Laghi and Pinol Mesa Pol fourth and fifth, all a lap down completing six laps.
In the Bronze category, victory went to Gabriele Iacchetti with a solid eight laps in 1:33:31. Iranian Daryoosh Ghorbani was second in 1:33:56, followed by Franco Schiavi in 1:39:33. Fourth and fifth went to Nikon Romanini and Nicola Bozzetti, both completing seven laps.
