Andrea Verona claims overall victory across two days racing the 2025 Italian “Assoluti” Enduro Championship, rounds seven and eight, in Civitaquana after a weekend-long battle with Zach Pichon.

Days seven and eight of the 2024 Italian Enduro Championship were baking hot in Civitaquana, central Italy. Three laps of three tests, linked by a near 50-kilometre transfer, saw EnduroGP elite riders taking on their race team’s hotly contested domestic series for the penultimate race weekend of the season.

Following on from victory on the Friday night Super Test, Andrea Verona (GASGAS Factory Racing) and Zach Pichon (TM Boano Factory) once again put on a show, fiercely contesting the overall victory.

Just like in Friday’s prologue, the Italian rider came out on top over the Frenchman but by a narrow margin just nine seconds after trading test wins with all inside the top five.

Nathan Watson (Beta Factory) found his rhythm and secured third place overall, finishing just ahead of Hamish Macdonald (Sherco Factory Racing). Morgan Lesiardo (Triumph Racing Italia) rounded out the top five.

Verona and Pichon continued and were once again the stars on day two but stepped up their game, claiming the lion’s share of the test wins between them to shut out the opposition.

Pichon took the lead in the morning but halfway through the second lap, Verona seized control of the race and held onto it all the way to the final special test for a repeat one-two from day one, this time separated by eight seconds.

Morgan Lesiardo continued to build on his strong performances this season on the Triumph Italy TF 250-X securing a spot on the overall podium and a maiden third scratch finish. Nathan Watson and Hamish Macdonald also continued their close contest and rounded out the top five.

Pichon continues to lead the championship on 140 points from Verona on 124 (who DNF’d Rnd1) and Watson third.
