Ruben Chadwick claims victory at Murrumba Madness, round two of the 2025 Australian Hard Enduro Championship.

Many of Australia’s best hard enduro riders were on just back from Austria and Erzberg before heading to Esk, Queensland, for round two of the 2025 Australian Hard Enduro Championship.

Riders were greeted with dry weather and frosty morning temperatures at a brand-new venue on the race calendar, aptly named. The technical and unforgiving terrain challenged competitors throughout the weekend.

Saturday featured a short but demanding prologue loop, filled with rocky creek sections and tight technical lines. Jon Gatt came out on top, taking his first Gold Class prologue win ahead of Ruben Chadwick.

Drawing on his trials background, Chadwick took the lead on lap one of the Sunday main race,  pulling a lead of 10 minutes by the end of the first lap, and a commanding 23 minutes by lap two for an easy win.

“It was a great weekend with perfect conditions on the new property.” Explained Ruben. “I’m happy to come away with the win after a busy few weeks overseas at Erzberg. Thank you to our sponsors and the team.”
