WP Eric Auge Team 2026: The EnduroGP Team Big Enough for a Football Squad
The WP Eric Auge Team presents its 2026 squad with 11 riders set for the EnduroGP World Championship and Spanish Enduro making it the team with the most riders in the world Championship this season.
The WP Eric Auge Team is ready to kick off the 2026 season with a squad big enough to start a football match (soccer for all our North American readers). The Oliana-based team, led by Eric Augé, has officially announced its rider line-up, debuted new colours, and made its ambitions clear for the upcoming campaign.
The plan is once again to compete in the EnduroGP World Championship with 10 riders (not counting Jaume Betriu, who this year is focusing on his role as RFME's national team coach in the top international competition) and, in addition, have them all competing in the 2026 Spanish Enduro Championship. And if that weren't enough, the team will once again provide its renowned support service at two major events: the Red Bull Romaniacs and the ISDE, this year in Portugal.

With orange machines as the backbone (and some reinforcements with Husqvarna), the team boasts a large and balanced lineup: experienced riders ready to contribute from day one and a young core with room for growth, eager to take the next step.
The 11 riders of the WP Eric Augé Team for 2026
Here's how the riders are distributed between the National and World Championships:
• Jaume Betriu: Spanish E3 Championship
• Àlex Puey: Spanish E2 Championship Junior 2 World EnduroGP
• Albert Fontova: Junior Open Spanish Championship | Junior 2 World EnduroGP
• Yago Martínez: E1 Spanish Championship | E1 World EnduroGP
• Yago Domínguez: E1 Spanish Championship | Youth World EnduroGP (with the RFME)
• Lluis Gonfaus: Junior Open Spanish Championship | Junior 2 World EnduroGP
• Sam Hughes: Junior Open Spanish Championship | Junior 2 World EnduroGP
• Alberto González “El Tigre”: Junior Open Spanish Championship | Junior 1 World EnduroGP
• Inbar Selinger: Junior 1 World EnduroGP
• Albin Elowson (Husqvarna): E2 Spanish Championship | E2 World EnduroGP
• Wiggo Lifvendahl (Husqvarna): Junior 125 Spanish Championship | Youth World EnduroGP
From this list, three new faces stand out, the additions for 2026: Alex Puey, Yago Domínguez, and Wiggo Lifvendahl.

Shot Race Gear, a new partner… airbags incoming
One of the biggest new developments this preseason is the partnership with Shot Race Gear, which will outfit all team members with its Aerolite and Contact gear. Safety is also being taken to the next level: the team will be equipped with the SRG airbag, a system not yet widely seen in enduro, but one that can make all the difference when things go wrong.
And it's not just the riders who are changing: the team truck is also sporting a new look with a complete redesign and new colors. If you visit the paddock in 2026, you'll be hard-pressed to miss it.
Immediate start: Valverde del Camino, first stop
The season kicks off this very weekend in Valverde del Camino, so there's no time to "get up to speed": WP Eric Augé arrives with a full preseason under their belt and a large team structure that aims to be at the front from the very beginning.
A tribute to Gerard Vilà
The team's statement also paid tribute to Gerard Vilà, who was due to join the team in 2026 and who, sadly, died in a traffic accident last February.
