Combined results from the two days of the Iron Road Prologue at the 2026 Red Bull Erzbergrodeo, where Daniel Sanders was fastest on Day 2 ahead of Andrea Verona and a surprising Carson Brown. However, Verona’s blistering time from Day 1 keeps him at the top of the overall classification.

The second day of the 2026 Erzbergrodeo Iron Road Prologue gave riders one final chance to improve their times on this high-speed uphill blast against the clock on the Iron Giant. And, unlike in some previous editions, several riders did manage to go faster, despite the track being heavily beaten up after 1,500 competitors had already tackled it on the opening day.

With drier conditions — remember, rain, mud and standing water made things pretty tricky on Day 1 — Daniel Sanders was fastest on Day 2 with a time of 10:32.957, beating first-day winner Andrea Verona by less than a second. Carson Brown, always capable of pulling something out of the bag, slotted into third on the second run.

Behind them, Manuel Lettenbichler finished fourth, followed by Michael Kratzer on Honda, one of the standout surprises from Day 1. Stark riders David Herbreteau and Marc Sans placed sixth and seventh respectively, while Edgar Canet set the eighth-fastest time on his KTM, ahead of Chris Gundermann and Jonny Walker, who completed the top 10 on the Triumph.

Verona keeps the fastest overall time

Across the two days, the 10:26.143 set by Andrea Verona on the opening day remains the fastest overall time of the Iron Road Prologue. Daniel Sanders finishes second in the combined classification, while Carson Brown moves up to third, pushing Manuel Lettenbichler down to fourth.

That means that, if Verona and Sanders do not line up for Sunday’s Hare Scramble — as seems likely — Carson Brown would effectively inherit the first real spot on the start grid. Incredible.

Michael Kratzer completes the overall top five, ahead of David Herbreteau, Marc Sans, Edgar Canet, Chris Gundermann and Sébastien Tortelli, who rounds out the combined top 10 after the two days of prologue action.

The front row is set

Looking at the top 50, which secures a place on the front row for Sunday’s main race, most of the big hard enduro specialists have made the cut. Those who missed out will have to start from the second row or further back — a major handicap in a race where early bottlenecks can shape the whole result.

Among the notable names outside that first row are Lorenzo Gandola, Sherco factory rider, and hard enduro legend Graham Jarvis, who at least managed to limit the damage from his poor Day 1 result by climbing back up to 63rd.

Ohrlinger tops Twin Cylinder, Gómez fastest in Lady Cup

In the Twin Cylinder category, Austria’s Armin Ohrlinger held on to first place with his Aprilia Tuareg 660, ahead of the Yamaha Ténéré 700 machines of Kevin Gallas and Pol Tarrés, second and third respectively. Mario Román, on CFMoto, and Tomaz Jernejsek, on Kove, completed the top five.

In the Lady Cup, Sandra Gómez set the fastest time on her Beta, ahead of Tjasa Fifer, Laura Gyr, Patrycja Kulonand Anna Felhofer, who completed the top five.
