2025 Red Bull Romaniacs Results: Off-road Day 2 – Billy Bolt the only one able to withstand Lettenbichler’s charge

The results from the second off-road day at the 2025 Red Bull Romaniacs confirm that Manuel Lettenbichler was once again the fastest rider, further increasing his overall lead over Billy Bolt, who finished second today and climbs to the same position in the general classification – Mario Roman, meanwhile, faded towards the end of the stage and ended the day in third.
Day 2 in a nutshell:
- The second day was faster than the previous one, something most riders surely welcomed after the brutal start to this 22nd edition, despite having to complete a 183-kilometre course, which the fastest riders tackled in just under five hours.
- A more flowing track with fewer technical sections, which on paper could have shaken up the overall classification, but in the end brought a familiar result at Romaniacs: Manuel Lettenbichler in front and everyone else trying to keep up.
- The KTM rider was once again the fastest, stamping his authority and paving the way to a potential sixth victory. Despite appearances, it wasn’t an easy day for Lettenbichler, especially at the beginning when the Sherco duo of Mario Roman and Teodor Kabakchiev were trading best times at the checkpoints.
- Second place went to Billy Bolt, who is currently delivering one of his best performances at this race in his entire career. Bolt kept his cool and worked his way up the order to reach the finish just eight minutes behind Mani.
- Billy now sits second overall, 16m48s behind Manuel Lettenbichler, with two more days of racing still ahead. It’s a good position for the Husqvarna rider, who always finds a line on the toughest climbs and simply needs to focus on attacking and capitalising on any mistake from the German.
- Mario Roman improved his performance compared to yesterday, as we mentioned, but he lost pace as the day went on, and by the time he reached the finish, he had given up 18m45s to the winner.
- Roman is now fourth overall, over half an hour down. A decent spot, considering his teammate Kabakchiev is third, 27m23s behind the leader, and fifth-placed Graham Jarvis sits 1h41m18s adrift. So, the Sherco rider only needs to worry about what’s in front of him.
- Teodor Kabakchiev missed the podium today, despite riding most of the day alongside Mario and being the last rider to drop less than half an hour to Mani.
- Strong ride from Michael Walkner, who rounded out the top five, 34 minutes off the lead, with nearly a 10-minute gap over sixth-placed Mitch Brightmore.
- Francesc Moret also broke into the top 10 again today, finishing seventh, which lifts him up to eighth overall. The former trial rider is on his way to another solid result, just like he managed last month with his Erzbergrodeo performance.
- Tough day for Alfredo Gomez, who struggled aboard his Beta and could only finish 13th, over two hours down. The Spaniard is now 10th overall, 3h6m38s behind the leader, which virtually rules him out of a top-five finish.
- In Adventure Ultimate, we witnessed a fierce battle between favourites Jonny Walker and Pol Tarres. Walker came out on top today, but by only two seconds ahead of Tarres.
- That means Tarres and his Yamaha still lead the overall, but Jonny and his Triumph are now second, just eight minutes behind. Our mate JP is knocking on the door of the top 10, and not even Romaniacs’ wobbly wooden bridges can slow down his determination.
- Sam Sunderland continued his solo show in Adventure Lite, pulling out another 43 minutes on the second-placed rider today, and he currently leads the category with nearly a one-hour margin.
- Eddie Karlsson made history today as the first rider ever to win a race day at Red Bull Romaniacs on an electric bike. Eddie and his Stark are now second overall in the Silver category, around eight minutes behind the leader.
- In the remaining classes: Diego Chang was best in Bronze, Alexander Petroiu in Iron, Dimitry Reznitskly in Atom, Sebastian Dudas in eMoto Expert, and Martin Dosch in eMoto Hobby.
