2025 SuperEnduro Results: Three from three for Billy Bolt in Romania
2025 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship round three results – Billy Bolt ticks off three wins as Mitch Brightmore challenges in final moto and in-form Dominik Olszowy crashes out injured.
SuperEnduro Rnd 3, Romania, in a nutshell:
- Unlike his hometown team, Newcastle United (or perhaps spurred on by Bournemouth’s results today), Billy Bolt is proving he can string wins together this season.
- The Husqvarna Factory Racing rider notched up yet another perfect night in Romania, taking Superpole and winning all three motos for a clean sweep at the second GP of the season.
- As with the previous rounds, it wasn’t completely without challenge. X-Grip Racing’s Mitchell Brightmore had his best night of the year, capitalising on a couple of mistakes from Bolt to very nearly steal the limelight in the final moto.
- The intense Romaniac track produced its share of crashes on the night, including for the world champion. Not least among the casualties was Bolt’s closest challenger so far this season, Dominik Olszowy. The Rieju factory rider went down hard on his wrist in moto one and was taken to hospital with what appeared to be a broken wrist. Get well soon, Dominik.

- Motos one and two were, in truth, routine for Bolt, who remains the fastest rider on track by a margin of seconds, leaving his rivals banking on mistakes to get a chance.
- That’s exactly what happened in the final race, where Mitch Brightmore—already putting together his best Prestige class performance of the season, which would end in a maiden podium—didn’t hesitate to take the lead when Bolt slipped up. It made for a dramatic end to the night as Bolt twice chased down his British rival to regain the lead and complete a perfect set of wins for round three.
- Second overall yet again was Triumph Racing’s Jonny Walker, whose 2-3-3 scorecard marked another solid night—although still not quite where he wants to be. Walker couldn’t get past Cooper Abbott, who held firm in moto two, and had no answer for Brightmore’s pace in the third moto but consistency keeps him on the podium.
- Third place overall went to Mitch Brightmore, securing X-Grip Racing’s first podium in the Prestige class.
- Alfredo Gomez proved he’s still got it, finishing P4 on the night. He continues to compete instead of staying at home firing off social media comments (like some retired champions!). Rounding out the top five overall was Ashton Brightmore, adding another strong result to his maiden Prestige class season.
- In the Junior class, the night was fiercely competitive, with three different winners across the three races. Germany’s Henry Strauss clinched victory in moto one, points leader Marc Fernandez took the win in moto two, and Milan Schmuser delivered in moto three. A tightly contested points tally saw youngster Strauss narrowly take the overall win, with Fernandez edging out Toby Shaw for second place on a tie-break.
- The Youth 125 class continued its streak of action this season. With his dad away managing the DL12 Indoor Trial in Sheffield, Frasier Lampkin delivered his best performance yet, finishing with a 1-2 scorecard. His results were matched by Roman Godino, who went 2-1 on the night. By virtue of more wins, the points leader Godino claimed the overall victory.
