Results and video highlights from stage four of the 2024 Rallye Du Maroc, World Rally-Raid Championship final round, where Red Bull KTM’s Daniel Sanders extended his overall lead and ross Branch sits on the verge of the world title for Hero MotoSports.

At 315 kilometres of special and just 62 kilometres of liaison, day four of the 2024 W2RC season finale in Morocco was a relatively short one. Set on largely new terrain it was a fresh challenge for riders who can be too familiar with the tracks and trails in this part of Africa.

In the RallyGP category, Honda’s Tosha Schareina led for most of the special before making a navigation error some 20 kilometres from the finish. It handed Daniel Sanders, who opened the stage and laid the tracks down for others to follow, an easier target to shoot a winning goal at. The KTM rider took a clear victory, 5'31‘’ ahead of ‘ Nacho ’ Cornejo  who claims his best stage result for his new team, Hero MotoSports. Luciano Benavides (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) finished 3rd at 8'11’.

In the overall standings, Sanders increases his lead to 21'44‘’ over Schareina and 24'23‘’ over his team-mate Benavides with one day to go. Tomorrow, Sanders could become the 15th rider to win the race (see 25th edition).

Meanwhile in fifth place overall, Ross Branch is just one stage away from making history for his country and race team. If he crosses the finish line after stage five, the Botswanan will claim the 2024 World Rally-Raid Championship for Hero MotoSports.
