2026 KTM Enduro range reveals latest EXC, EXC-F and XC-W line-up with all two-strokes, except the 300 EXC, limited to competition-only use meanwhile new forks and cooling fans are standard on many of the updated bikes.

KTM aren’t kidding when they say their 2026 enduro model range is redefined. Redefined means they had to change the names on every two-stroke except the 300 EXC because of European emissions laws.

It’s kind of inevitable, and kind of irrelevant (depending on where you live in the world, your laws for motorcycle registration and/or indeed if you even bother with a license plate), but the fact is the big 300 now stands as a lone two-stroke viable for KTM to sell as a homologated bike.

The 2026 KTM Enduro line-up:

125 XC-W, 250 XC-W, 300 EXC two-strokes and 250 EXC-F, 350 EXC-F, 450 EXC-F, 500 EXC-F four-strokes.

North America market gets: 150 XC-W, 250 XC-W and 300 XC-W two-strokes plus the 450 XCF-W four-stroke. The 2026 KTM 350 EXC-F and KTM 500 EXC-F dual-sport bikes will be announced in the following weeks and we should also expect more special edition models to be announced in the near future.

Last EXC standing

The first thing we have to talk about here is the near demise of the EXC model. A change for 2026 sees KTM switch the model name conventions with the 125, 150 and 250 two-stroke models now becoming XC-Ws, built and sold for competition purposes.

That means closed course and that is because the emissions laws in Europe have stifled two-strokes further and higher up the capacity chain, now hitting the 250cc model.

Only the KTM 300 EXC keeps the same original tag, holding status as the sole EURO5+ homologated two-stroke in the line-up. You might want to buy one now while you can, for prosperity at least.

For a manufacturer which has been so synonymous with two-stroke bikes in enduro and hard enduro, this is a mile stone.

The real updates to the 2026 Enduro models

“The KTM Enduro platform has been chiselled”, KTM tell us, with the enduro bikes running the same chassis, aluminium swingarms and hybrid subframes, forged triple clamps, and branded parts like Neken handlebars, Brembo brakes and hydraulic clutch, Keihin throttle body, and ODI lock-on grips.

But there are updates here and that includes to the 48mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge forks which have new damping settings, lighter, shorter springs, and a reworked pressure reservoir which KTM say has revised geometry of the spring support.

We’re not 100% clear what that means to a rider but will find out and have a 350 EXC-F on the cards to tests asap. A new one-piece hydro stop adds out the front fork updates which also results in an overall weight-saving of 200 grams, they claim.

The KTM enduro model WP XPLOR PDS (no linkage) rear suspension has some changes also but mainly to adjust to match the new fork settings.

We’re big fans

Like all the KTM motocross and cross-country bikes we revealed last week on Enduro21, there’s also a new cover on the fuel connector for all the enduro bikes. It adds extra protection externally but also another seal to help prevent the intrusion of dirt and water.

There’s also a new radiator cap with a return to a standard thread making it easier and faster to open.

But the big news in the cooling department is a radiator fan now added as standard on the 300 EXC and all EXC-F models, plus the KTM 450 XCF-W. At last we hear you all cry out.

Fresh graphics…

The 2026 enduro models of course get a makeover as expected with new in-mold graphics on the bi-composite plastics. KTM point at a more vivid orange colour, flashes of red on the fork guards and re-modelled tank spoilers to help airflow and cooling.

The high-grip seat cover is black for ’26 with similar textured material for the frame protectors, bar pads and tank spoilers. European bikes will still arrive with Maxxis tyres while North America gets a better deal with new Dunlop Geomax AT82 tires fitted OEM.

2026 KTM XC-W and XCF-W bikes will be available at authorised KTM dealers from August in Europe, September in the US with the 2026 300 EXC not due until October. Prices not known at time of writing.
