First look 2026 Husqvarna 701 Enduro – new service intervals and electronics
Husqvarna announce the 2026 701 Enduro dual sport and 701 Supermoto models upgraded with stronger engines boasting new service intervals and updates to traction control and ABS systems.
For 2026 the dual sport Husqvarna 701 has a redesigned LC4 engine that is Euro 5+ compliant and boasts increased power from 74 to 79PS (78HP). Although the details are a little thin in the press information, the stronger engine they quote looks to have seen a decent amount of attention and can now claim longer service intervals.
In the chassis department Husqvarna say they’ve updated the WP suspension and upgraded the centre stand mounting points – although they again do no give any details about exactly what has changed in the suspension.
New electronics, including advanced ride modes and ABS options are also high on the agenda from Husqvarna plus you’ll spot subtle changes to the looks and graphics, the landscape digital dashboard and there’s a USB plug up there too. The changes to the 701 Supermoto colours and graphics is more striking and arguably better looking.

New anti-wheelspin control explained
Dynamic Slip Adjust is a brand-new feature on the 701 Enduro, although you will have to purchase the optional Rally Mode to access it. Husqvarna say the DSA automatically adjusts the rear wheel slip based on the available traction and is designed to “increase rear wheel slip by lowering the level of Motorcycle Traction Control (MTC) when additional spin is needed” – so in essence it does not reduce slip.
To explain they say if a rider is using a high MTC setting and hits a muddy patch or steep climb, the system temporarily allows more wheel spin without cutting engine power. Once traction is regained, torque and slip levels automatically return to the original MTC setting. We look forward to seeing how that works in reality but the truth is the old system could be inhibiting.
Supermoto model ABS update
A new ABS system on the 701 Supermoto also has a new feature which allows riders to deliberately slide the rear wheel through a limited angle when entering corners, while the ABS remains active on the front wheel.
Sport ABS enables the rider to brake more aggressively before the ABS system intervenes, with control maintained on both the front and rear wheels. Compared to Road ABS, Sport ABS allows higher brake pressure at greater lean angles, allowing experienced riders to brake harder before ABS engagement.
